Create a fun and easy games that teach your kids how to swim

I have worked as a full-time swim instructor since years 1993. I learn a lot during these years and I had trained a number of coaches to teach swimming now they are all successful have their own swim school too. In the next following post, I am going to share with you how you can teach your own kids basic swimming skills, water safety and a love for all things aquatic.

First simple step, create fun activities to help your child take those first independent strokes in the water. These activities can help teach children as young as 2 years old how to swim. It’s a great way to introduce swimming skills in stages. So grab your towels and let’s go!

1. Know the surrounding water familiarization
First, ask your kids to sit down at the edge of pool straighten both leg kick and splash water sing song if needed. "This is the way "I kick my leg, I kick my leg, kick my leg"...etc
Now let walk around the pool if it is a shallow pool if it is a deep pool than asking him or her to turn around and hold on to the walk with both hand and both legs step onto the wall start doing crab craw to the left and right when they are ready. Watch Crab Craw Video Here

If it is in the shallow pool there are a lot more thing to do we can do "hop like a rabbit" "craw like a corcoda" move around the pool play with them and once a while "splash water on his or her face". Keep doing until you feel they enjoy

2. Next the breathing techniques

Practice talking to pretend fishies by getting your child to blow bubbles in the water. Then ask him to put his ear in the water to listen to the pretend response.
Skill: Breath control, which is the first step in teaching your child to swim independently. Accidentally swallowing water can be a frightening setback, so make sure you encourage him to submerge his face and blow bubbles to increase his comfort level in the water.

Tip: Make sure when you submerge your face and blow bubbles, you come up with a smile on your face. Your little one will be more apt to try this if he sees how much fun you have while doing it!

That it this is your home work let go to the pool now don't wait anymore, remember this! it is either you do it yourself you engage me to do it for you, either way, we need time to do. So stop wasting time bring your kids down and practice.

Thank you

PS: Kids starting to learn swimming at an early age and continuing long term will allow your child to fully experience all that the water and the aquatic lesson experience has to offer.
